Two and a half years into his retirement Complicated Blue still takes all aspects seriously. Here he is studying the racing post for all the current form whilst enjoying his morning cuppa!

This is Bertie Blue (another of Maureen's Bertie's) formerly Zuzia is my Girl. (named after his race owner’s Polish Wife)
We collected him in September 2010 and from the minute he arrived he was clam and settled, but now five months on he is completely and utterly at home.
He is enjoying living at his All Inclusive Hotel and enjoys his nights out at obedience classes. (Yes Greyhounds can be taught to sit, but Bertie decides to do so only when he is ready !)
He is fantastic with our little girl and becomes protective of her if we play too roughly.
This dog is full of personality, he loves exercise and watching him sprinting around our local common at full race speed is an absolute delight to behold. Anyone thinking of re-homing a Greyhound should go ahead and give one a home. I have found Bertie to be loyal, gentle, affectionate, calm and trusting. He was clean in the house from day one and we now love him to bits.
The pictures say it all, we couldn't be without him, Lee Kershaw

We had a lovely day out at the Great Greyhound Gathering 2010. Millie had to suffer the indignity of being dressed up as a horse for the fancy dress. Pebbles won fifth in the Prettiest Bitch competition.
Thought you might like to see the photo!, All the best Joan

Happily Homed - Story 4
|

Millie (Minglers Minor) has settled in perfectly and no problems with the cat. We all just adore her. If we had bigger cars we would get a second dog like a shot!
Millie's personality is a lovely combination of placid but fun-loving. She loves her walks, unless it's raining, when we have to positively drag her out of the door! But, mostly she is just a couch potato. She came away with us at Easter to North Yorkshire where she thoroughly enjoyed paddling in the waves and digging in the sand. We could not be happier with her and can't imagine life without her now. She is the perfect addition to our family.

This is Millie (True Sara) unleashing 'Shock & Awe' on her toys, although it looks like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth!
Now completely settled into a home life with Danny the greyhound, visits to cousin Sally the greyhound and even play dates with Percy & Zeta the greyhounds!
Still a baby, she is full of fun and a great character. Thanks Maureen, John and Doreen!

You can generally find him lounging around in his bed, with the exception of the times of the day when there is food around! If he hears the crinkling of a packet or anything that sounds like it could be food, he is out of his bed like a shot! He loves his walks and has a good run around chasing his ball up at our local park, where he has made friends with loads of other dogs. I have attached some photos of Buddy in his new home in Sussex.
Thanks for helping us find such a great dog. Just wanted to give you an update on how we're getting on with Buddy (Calico Lee).
We've now had Buddy for 6 months who you kindly reserved for us until we got back from our holiday in May. After only about a week of settling in, he has taken to home life brilliantly. He was a little apprehensive of things like the stairs and the vaccumcleaner on his first day or so, but is now pretty much unfazed by anything

Just thought I would give you a quick update on Daisyfield "MOO". She is now known as Jess as I was outvoted on keeping her as a Moo. She has definately settled in after 8 months with us and is getting more mischeivous by the day...but she is very loving too and always seems grateful to have a comfy home. Other than a couple of early accidents indoors, she has been no trouble at all and is quite a quiet, loyal member of the family.
Here are pictures of her doing what she loves, galloping on the beach nearby with her friend Scoobie the minature poodle....and sleeping on the sofa!
Thanks for letting her come to Herne Bay.

Casper (Robbies Villan) has really landed on his feet in his new home - although maybe that should be 'landed on his bed'. His new mum is obviously trying to get Casper the title of 'most spolit greyhound'
